So that was last night. I was/am really happy with the response. People seemed to really enjoy it. They laughing in the right places and everything. Had a few people come up to me after the screening too to congratulate me which was nice. so far, I think that was my favourite screening. Although the Muni one was bigger and more 'special' if you like it was all friends and family, crew and cast. That is always gonna be the easiest audience. The Swansea screening was a disappointment because not mamy people saw it. Last night I reckon 60 new people watched it. Granted 60 doesn't sound all that much but they are all filmmakers/writers etc... Good people to have watch.
I met a couple of film shed guys too. Film Shed is a website for the filmmaking community which is very Wales friendly. It's about time I did this. i know a few were around Swansea for the festival but it never happened. So that was nice.
I had an interview last week to co-direct a short film. I think the interview went well but I can never tell with these things. The guys doing the interview seemed cool. I'll talk about this more if I get the gig.
What else? Proper jobs. I got a few things lined up. Sooner the better. Know for any decent jobs, let me know. Still working at the WMC tho. We are almost a week into the two month stint that is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I think i speak for all the staff when I say that we were not looking forward to this one bit. I got to watch it last week at it is pretty damn good. One of the best things I've seen there in the 18 months or so of working there (Slava's Snow Show and The Producers were better). Granted I've seen it once. See what I'm like at the end of the month.
Chitty: You'll believe a car will fly. Yeah, that's Dr Sloan driving.
Dark Knight out soon. Can't wait. Speaking of films, I'm finally going to watch the Good, The Bad And The Ugly some time this week. Never seen it. Well, them if you add the Fistfull of Dollars films too. Funny some of the films I've never seen. I've never seen Scarface, The Shining, Mean Streets, Titanic... I only saw Edward Scissorhand for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I guess everybody has these. I know people that have never seen Star Wars or an Indy film. Some people haven't seen Billy Madison! Strange, huh? "Stop looking at me Swan!"
Shampoo is bett-ar! (with the swan to the left)
